Elan Home Automation
Waara Technologies sells and installs an array of hi-fi and automation products but, when it comes to the latter, we stick with our go-to choices in Control4 and Elan.
Elan has been great for our customers when it comes to full home automation and touch panels/remotes, to name a few. Their latest remote, the HR40, has been receiving wild reviews and we’re receiving them now for future clients.
Imagine you’re upgrading to a mini home theatre with a new Marantz receiver. You have the Marantz remote, your Roku, and your Sony tv and blu-ray remotes. Wouldn’t it be nice to control them all on one device?
That’s the beauty and just one of the benefits of Elan home automation. Simplify your life with Waara so you can do and enjoy more.

Showroom Feature: KEF Blades
Released on this date in 1997, the film The Fifth Element, featuring Bruce Willis, was inspired by this very pair of KEF Blades.
Okay, not exactly, but those familiar with the movie may certainly see where one may be mistaken with this pair’s distinct, futuristic look.
Whereas our JBL Classics are very 1970s, the KEF Blades are pure sci-fi and the quality is out of this world, too!
Winning the Exceptional Value Award at their debut, they continue to impress. Stop on in and listen for yourself. They’re paired with the McIntosh MT2 turntable to boot.

Showroom Feature: JBL Classic
As you may already know, Waara Technologies only sells and installs the latest and greatest…but sometimes the greatest can be retro throwbacks like these JBL classic bookshelf speakers.
Having just sold several pairs of the flagship L100 to a new local business you’ll hear about this summer, we wanted to make sure folks knew where they came from.
In grey, we have the aforementioned L100, paired with a Marantz system here for you to test out.
Debuting back in 1970, the L100 has passed the test of time. For the audiophiles reading, it has a
“12-inch (300mm) cast-frame, white pure-pulp cone woofer in bass-reflex design with front-firing tuned port” and weighs in at 58 pounds each so make sure your shelves are sturdy!
In orange, we have the “little brother”, the L82 paired with a nice Arcam amp and cd player.
Stop on in before summer kicks off. We’ll throw your favorite 70’s tunes on for a sonic time travel with these JBL classic to get you squared away.

Showroom Feature – KEF R Series
As you may or may not have seen, Rolling Stone awarded the KEF R Series speakers their Hi-Fi winner…and we happen to have several pairs here for your listening pleasure.
Let’s focus on the beautiful white bookshelf R3, here in our entry room paired with Rotel and a Pro-Ject turntable.
These R3 can be placed on unique stands, such as we have them now, or can be placed on shelves to accompany your television or accentuate any listening experience.
According to Rolling Stone,
” [the] R Series features what’s called ‘Metamaterial Absorption Technology,’ a term that’s used across the speaker line and results in less distortion, fewer vibrations, and a hell of a lot more of the natural sounds you deserve in a high-fidelity system. In short, it’s the best HiFi setup for immersive sound at home.”
Stop on in, listen to some Jethro Tull, and hear the KEF R Series for yourself!

Showroom Feature: Serafino by Sonus Faber (SOLD)
There’s been a lot of talk about our red tower speakers here, paired with our McIntosh stack and visible even outside our doors, so we thought we’d give you some more information in case you have yet to hear them yourself.
Rated an Outstanding Product by Hi-Fi News, these are the magnificent Serafino, Italian-made by Sonus Faber.
If you have a theatre (or plan to), are an audiophile, or simply enjoy great sound and design, you have to check these out before they’re gone.
The Serafino add luxury to any setting and the quality needs to be heard to be believed. Its 28mm silk dome tweeter, “acoustic labyrinth” wood construction, and a whopping 350 watt power rating means you can go from soft Interlochen Public Radio to Enter Sandman at volume level 11 without missing a beat.
We’re open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, as well as Saturdays 11am-3pm.
From Sonos, to Heos, to Roon and Spotify, we can play your favorite songs on any speaker setup you see as well.
